PORSCHE GOES OUT TO SEA

Not satisfied with just making cars anymore, Porsche has decided to get its sea legs.

yacht company Royal Falcon Fleet is teaming up with the Design Studio for first in a new line of cruiser, . Swedish-firm Kockums and award-winning Incat Crowther lent their servies for the naval architecture.

The 135 ft long vessel has a beam of 41 ft and a draft of 5.6 ft. The interior deck area measures 472 sjavascript:void(0)quare meters and the exterior deck area is 308 square meters. Four guest suites and the main presidential suite accommodate ten passengers while ten crewmen can stay on board in AFFLUENT PAGE MAGAZINE either the captain’s suite, first officer cabin, or one of the four twin cabins.

Powered by two MTU16V4000M93L 3440 kW engines and two Rolls-Royce KAMEWA 80S3 water jets, RFF’s latest yacht cruises as 30 knots and can reach a top speed of 35 knots. The Lloyd’s Register class ship holds two 25,000 liters worth of fuel and its hull is plated with Lloyd’s certified high-strength aluminum plating.

Prospective buyers will have wait however to ride the seas in this liner; it isn’t expected to go on sale until late 2010. Royal Falcon Fleet estimates the price at 35 million euros (51.4 million USD).

This breathtaking ship proves that two minds are indeed better than one.
